" Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light’’
- Genesis 1:3 NKJV
The word of God introduces seasons. The account in Genesis 1 describes a state of darkness prevailing over the earth. However, when God spoke, saying, "Let there be light," it marked the end of that dark season and the beginning of a new era—a season of light. Just as God's word changed the season from darkness to light, His spoken word has the power to transform situations, bring clarity, and introduce new seasons of hope, freedom, and restoration.
"And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness." Genesis 1:4 NKJV
God has given us a prototype of how to change seasons and times through His word. When we align our words with God's truth and promises, speaking His word over our circumstances, we invoke His power to shift situations. By declaring God's promises of light, hope, and transformation, we can effectively end seasons of darkness—be it struggles, hardships, or any aspect not in alignment with His will.
"….. and God divided the light from the darkness." The enemy often tries to introduce darkness to overshadow the good things happening in our lives. To be separated from darkness, we must embrace the light. Rebuking darkness and allowing the light of God to shine within us involves seeking His truth, living in obedience to His word, and embracing His righteousness. It is through this alignment with God's light that we can effectively resist darkness. "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” Ephesians 5:8 NKJV
Today, I usher in my season of light.
As children of light, we must always act accordingly by not obeying the gratifications and desires of the flesh, so we are emboldened to remain in the season of light. By living in this manner, we radiate God's light in a world that often struggles with darkness, serving as beacons of His truth and love.
"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." John 1:5 NLT
You can enforce the season of light in every area of your life by speaking the word of God daily. We must constantly resist every appearance of evil just like God divided the light from the darkness.
"Reject every kind of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5:22 NIV
As you remain in the light, and in constant fellowship with God, with boldness make these confessions.
I rebuke every season of darkness over my health.
I rebuke every season of darkness over my finances.
I rebuke every season of darkness over the works of my hands.
I rebuke every season of darkness over my life and my family.
I rebuke every season of darkness over my children and generations after me.
My season of darkness is over.
I speak light over my life. Light over all that pertains to me. Light over my finances, business, and family.
I forbid darkness from manifesting in my life and over all that the Lord has blessed me with.
Today, I usher in my season of light.

Prayer - Every season of darkness in my life and family and the works of my hands expire in Jesus name. Today, may the word of God concerning that matter end every negative season in your life in Jesus' name. Amen.
