“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
- Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
Without discovering the vision and purpose that God has for us, life can feel aimless and devoid of meaning. When we fail to view our lives through the lens of God’s Word, we tend to live ’anyhow’, lacking direction and purpose. However, when we connect with God’s plans and purposes, our lives gain significance, and we begin to live intentionally.
The Holy Spirit is essential in revealing God’s plans for our life. He is the Spirit of Revelation, opening our eyes to see the divine blueprint written in God's book. Just as everything about Jesus was revealed through the Holy Spirit, our lives are also guided and unveiled by Him. The Spirit helps us see beyond the natural realm into the supernatural purposes God has for us. In John 16:13, Jesus states that the Spirit of truth will guide us into all truth and reveal things to come.
When we fail to view our lives through the lens of God’s Word, we tend to live ’anyhow’, lacking direction and purpose.
It’s not enough to merely hear the gospel, it must be preached and received through the Holy Spirit. Similarly, our lives are not solely about human effort, but they are about being empowered and led by the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 1:12 tells us that the gospel is preached by the Holy Spirit, meaning the Spirit infuses life, power, and revelation into the Word. When the Spirit is involved, what is preached or spoken comes alive and become active in our lives, revealing God’s will for us.
Romans 8:19 declares that all creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. These "sons” are not ordinary churchgoers, but those who are led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14). The sons of God are those who align their lives with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, who have discovered their purpose in God's book and are working it out. In these last days, we will witness a powerful manifestation of believers living as sons of God, filled with and led by the Spirit, advancing the Kingdom of God.
In these final days, God is raising sons who are not merely church attendees, but Spirit-led, Spirit-filled individuals intoxicated by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the life we are called to – one that is fully surrendered to the Spirit, empowered to fulfill God’s purposes in complete alignment with His will.
