Because He rose, we rise

 "Weeping may endure for a night, But Joy comes in the morning"

 - Psalms 30:5

No matter the circumstances, we are overcomers through Christ that lives and dwells in us. As children of light, we must know that irrespective of what we are going through, at the end of the day we shall all smile gloriously. Nothing reminds us more of this than the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. One would have thought that the story of Jesus had come to an end the moment he died on the cross and was buried. However, this was far from the truth.

Micah 7:8 encourages that “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise, when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me”. There is no defeat for a believer because we have hope that it is not over yet. Revelation 5:7 show us that even a slain lamb (in the case of Jesus) resurrected and so shall we, hallelujah!

Knowing Jesus resurrected is enough to encourage us that we will not remain down. 1 Corinthian 15:6 tells us that Jesus was seen by over 500 people at once at the resurrection. It was not hidden, it was public news that he died and remained on earth even 40 days after, greatly convincing and showing himself to all that they may believe, even those that were in doubt. Jesus was not upset at the doubtful but stood strong proving to them that he is alive. We see from the example of Thomas in John 20:27 that Jesus boldly prompted him to touch his hands and sides. This is the same way we should be bold in the fact that our restoration will be an open show to the devil, with God publicly displaying our rising to the world.

According to 1 Corinthians 15: 3 - 4 Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose again for our justification therefore victory over sin, death and the devil is a transferable victory that Jesus won for us. “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him - Matthew 28:18, so also was it given unto us through His finished works. We must stand firm and know that the success of Jesus is transferable to us, and the sacrifice of Jesus is the only acceptable one to God.

Finally, the proof of this victory to us should be total belief in the scriptures as they are immutable words given to us from God which we are to live by. These three things solidify our victory in all circumstances while encouraging us that our victory is sure in Him.

Song of Worship

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,

Because He lives, all fear is gone;

Because I know He holds the future,

And life is worth the living,

Just because He lives! o Amen 2x

Prayer - Dear Lord, please give us a heart to know that we will arise over every difficult situation that may arise because of Jesus' resurrection. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
