" For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
- Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)
A testimony is an eyewitness or personal account of how God came through for you, an encounter or experience with or by the supernatural. It is a way of returning thanks and glory to God for what He has done. Giving or recounting a testimony serves as a witness to God's power and grace, and it encourages others to trust in Him. A pivotal take-away from today’s study is that a testimony has the power to birth more testimonies. When a testimony is shared, it could spur another testimony of the same kind, or it could lead to a totally different testimony.
In Luke 1, Elizabeth was already pregnant for 6 months and she met with Mary who at that time had only received the promise of being the mother of Jesus from angel Gabriel. She had no physical manifestation yet but only the word. While Elizabeth was testifying with the evidence of a baby bump, Mary had not yet known a man in any capacity, but she believed the promise and the word from the angel. She rejoiced in the Lord and with the testifier – Luke 1:46-47.
A testimony has the power to birth more testimonies
In Mark 5:21-42, Jairus had invited Jesus to his house to heal his daughter. On the way to receive the miracle, there was an interception by the woman with the issue of blood. Right there, a miracle happened, and the woman was healed. Jairus could have turned back, seeing how ‘delayed’ his own miracle was but he stayed with Jesus, through it all. He could have said to himself, that the Jesus that healed a blood condition can heal his own daughter too of her sickness. However, while everyone was rejoicing with the woman, the testifier, his own daughter’s situation got worse and finally she died. Despite the medical report, Jairus still held on to Jesus and in the end he rejoiced.
What does this mean to you? When a testimony is being given or shared, it means that the Lord that made that miracle to happen is around. Just like Jairus and Mary, they rejoiced with the testifiers and in the end, they also rejoiced. Rejoice with those who rejoice – Romans 12:15. There is no small testimony, as an act of the supernatural, it can multiply or birth that miracle you are looking for. The God that made someone to pass an examination is the same God that can heal cancer. Hold on to the promise that you have received, rejoice, your testimony in on the way.

Prayer - Lord, help me to genuinely rejoice with those that rejoice no matter what I am going through. In my rejoicing with others, my own testimony will come, and the world will rejoice with me to the glory of Your name. (Amen)
