“So, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten the crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you.”
- Joel 2:25 (NKJV)
As we prepare to step into a new season, God is calling us to embrace His promises of restoration. This season requires discernment, intentionality, and wisdom. While restoration is God’s work, rebuilding is our responsibility. To fully engage in this season, we must rely on wisdom to guide our words, actions, and decisions, aligning ourselves with the blessings God has prepared for us.
Restoration begins when we respond to God’s invitation to align with Him. Psalm 80:19 reminds us that restoration is closely tied to God’s presence: “Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.” His light upon us ensures that we can shine in this season, allowing restoration to unfold.
Wisdom plays a central role in discerning and embracing this season. As Ecclesiastes 8:1 state, “A man’s wisdom makes his face shine.” When we operate in God’s wisdom, three key areas create clear pathways toward stepping into His promises.
Firstly, our words reveal whether we are walking in wisdom. In Mark 6:2, the crowds marveled at Jesus’ words, which carried deep insight and revelation. Let our words inspire, uplift, and align with God’s truth.
Wisdom enables us to recognize and fully enter into restoration.
Secondly, the quality of our work reflects the wisdom we carry. Shoddy or careless efforts do not honor God. Instead, let us pursue excellence in all we do, demonstrating diligence and care as a reflection of divine wisdom.
Thirdly, entering new spiritual seasons often begins with a decision. For example, Naomi’s choice to leave Moab in Ruth 1:6 marked a turning point toward restoration. Similarly, the prodigal son in Luke 15:18 changed his season by deciding to return to his father. Our choices today determine whether we are ready to embrace the blessings God has for us.
Wisdom enables us to recognize and fully enter into restoration. Let us embrace this season with faith, knowing that God’s promises are for us. Trust that God is with us every step of the way. This is our season to shine!
