Your faith is one of the most valuable things you possess, and it is worth every effort to protect and pass it on.
The Apostle Paul, in 1 Timothy 6:12 (NKJV), exhorts us to "fight the good fight of faith." This fight is not just for us. but also for the generations that come after us.
In today's world, where many things compete for attention and influence, it is easy to become complacent. But the fight for faith requires vigilance, persistence, and intentionality. It is our responsibility to ensure that the way of Christ is passed on to the next generation, especially our own children. This means teaching them, guiding them, and modeling the Christian life before them. It also means praying for them, fasting, and standing in the gap for their spiritual well-being.
In Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (NKJV), God instructs us to diligently teach His commandments to our children, to talk about them when we sit at home, walk along the road, lie down, and get up. Passing on faith isn't just about taking them to church; it is about living out that faith daily and ensuring it is ingrained in their hearts.
Your faith is one of the most valuable things you possess, and it is worth every effort to protect and pass it on.
There are also promises that God has given us, and even though they are ours by His word, we must fight to see them come to pass. In Deuteronomy 2:24 (NKJV), although God had already given them the land, they still had to engage in battle to possess it.
This teaches us that sometimes, even though God has promised us something, we must contend for it. The fight may come in the form of persistent prayer, standing in faith despite opposition, or enduring trials that test our resolve. But through it all, we are called to stand firm, knowing that God is faithful to fulfill His promises.
Is there a promise God has given you that seems far off? Is your faith being challenged? Are you fighting to pass your faith to your children? Whatever it is, know that it is worth contending for. Don’t give up. Continue to fight the good fight of faith, knowing that God is with you and that the victory is already yours in Christ Jesus.

Prayer - Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us that some things are worth contending for. Strengthen us to fight the good fight of faith, especially in passing on our faith to the next generation and standing on Your promises.
