What do you do when you don’t know what to do? That is a question begging for answers.
In every man, there is always a need. As our faces are different, so also our needs. The need of one man might vary from the needs of another. However, one thing is common among all, the need for direction and answers to life’s questions, and uncertainty about what tomorrow brings.
If you are to reflect on the state of your life five, ten or even twenty years ago, would you have had the absolute guarantee of the outcomes today? Finding direction is a basic human need at every level as any wrong move can either take you up or down the ladder. A student needs direction on a career path, an organization needs business direction and strategy, a lady contemplating who to marry, an investment decision, a business idea, how to raise your children or simply what to do next.
The answer you are looking for, the direction that you seek, can only be found in God.
At some point, we all would be faced with the Red Sea experience. Like the children of Israel in Exodus 14:10-12, it was either moving forward and logically drowning in the Red Sea or going back to slavery and be devoured by the fangs of Pharaoh.
Statistically, the Israelites had a better chance surviving in the hands of Pharaoh than going forward into the sea. Yet, God asked them to go the direction of the unpopular belief and concept. The answer you are looking for, the direction that you seek can only be found in God. Don’t take that step without seeking the face of God. Spend time in prayers and give yourself to the study of the Word of God.
The word of God is to be studied and not just skimmed through like a newspaper. No investor puts money in a business without first going through the fine prints and the dotted lines of the business plan. So also, the direction that will take you to the next level requires quality time spent with God in prayers and the Word. The Word of God is the blueprint of your life. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8b GNT).

Prayer - Lord, as we seek direction amidst the unknown, we ask for Your divine guidance. Grant us the clarity to see the way You have prepared for us and the courage to follow it faithfully. Teach us to be still and know that You are God, sovereign over all things (Amen).
