Finding Serenity in Surrender

May 2, 2024

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

 - Exodus 14:14 (NKJV)

In Exodus 14:14, we find a powerful declaration from the Lord to the Israelites as they faced the daunting obstacle of the Red Sea with the Egyptian army hot on their heels: "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."

This verse encapsulates a profound truth that resonates through the ages. It reminds us that in the midst of life's battles, struggles, and challenges, we are not alone. God is with us, and He is fighting on our behalf. He is our defender, our protector, and our champion.

For many of us, there are times when we feel like we are fighting our battles alone. We exhaust ourselves trying to prove our worth, striving to overcome obstacles, and facing opposition with our own strength. Yet, in doing so, we often find ourselves weary and overwhelmed.

But God's word to us remains the same today as it was to the Israelites: "The Lord will fight for you." He does not call us to fight on our own strength or to prove ourselves worthy. Instead, He invites us to trust in His power, His faithfulness, and His promises.

He does not call us to fight on our own strength or to prove ourselves worthy. Instead, He invites us to trust in His power, His faithfulness, and His promises.

So, if you find yourself weary from fighting your battles alone, hear the word of the Lord today: "The Lord will fight for you." Release the burden of trying to prove yourself. Release the need to rely on your own strength. Instead, lift your hands in surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the name of the resurrected Christ, may you receive this decree and resolution: May God fight for you. May His peace envelop you in every area of your life. May you experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Receive peace in your job, peace in your family, peace in your finances, peace in your relationships, peace in your body, and peace everywhere you go. Let the assurance that the Lord is fighting for you bring calm to your soul and strength to your spirit.

So, hold your peace and trust in the God who fights for you. Amen.
