God is pleased with you

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "

- Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

Yes, you heard that right! God is pleased with you. Today, we bring a message of profound love - an assurance that you are cherished and a reminder of God’s nature as a loving Father. This may seem unfamiliar, especially in cultures where expressing love can be perceived as a weakness. Yet, this is never the nature of God. He is a loving God who desires to demonstrate His affection for you daily, both publicly and in private. His love is eternal and unconditional.

If you find yourself reflecting on past actions you aren’t proud of, recognize that the very realization of those missteps is an expression of God’s love. While God may not be pleased with certain behaviors, His love for you remains steadfast, regardless of what you have done or failed to do. Remember: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He sacrificed Himself even when we were estranged from God. Nothing can diminish that love. Unlike human affection, which can fade and is often conditional, God's love for you is unwavering.

He sacrificed Himself even when we were estranged from God. Nothing can diminish that love.

This message is not a license to continue in ways that offends God; rather, it is a call to respond to His love by striving to live righteously.

“The Lord is pleased with his people, and he gives victory to those who are humble.” - Psalm 149:4 (CEV)

To grasp the depth of God’s love and true nature, let us reflect on the beginning, when humanity first sinned. The consequences were clear: death. Yet, even in that moment, God displayed His love and mercy by clothing Adam and Eve in their nakedness. In His righteous anger, He still reached out to humanity with compassion.

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins and clothed them.” - Genesis 3:21 (KJV)

You may be navigating a difficult path; life may have thrown challenges your way. Yet, through it all, God loves you and delights in you. Have you ever felt the urge to distance yourself from God after making a mistake? This instinct mirrors the actions of Adam when he disobeyed. But today, God invites you not to hide from Him or retreat from community, but to come boldly into His warm embrace. His arms are open, ready to save, redeem, and welcome you into His fold.

Just as our anchor text reminds us, you don’t have to face life alone. Lay your burdens and struggles at the feet of Jesus, and He will grant you rest.
