"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.".
- Romans 8:37 (NKJV)
May you not see trouble in the name of Jesus. Trouble challenges your dominion and questions your authority. In Mark 5:23, we see trouble challenging the daughter of Jairus. Trouble brings pain, disorder and conflict. Also, the woman with the issue of blood was also faced with much trouble. The aim of trouble is to cause chaos, and destruction. No one lodges trouble in the bosom and expects a happy ending.
Trouble has no respect for anybody. Just like the case of Jairus when trouble took his little daughter. It didn’t even consider how little that child was. What could a twelve-year-old girl have done wrong to deserve the crushing in the hands of the personality called trouble? If you were thinking that the parents were the cause, think again! According to the scriptures, Jairus was a religious man, a ruler of the synagogue or what we would have called a man of God today. Remember, your troubles do not define you; your response to them does.
May you not see trouble in the name of Jesus. Trouble challenges your dominion, but your response to it defines you.
Trouble can be wasteful if you let it linger. It can waste time, resources or even life if you do not exercise your God-given dominion over it. In Judges 6:3 - 6, there is an interesting story of how the children of Israel would sow, then the Midianites, and Amalekites would invade them later until they were impoverished. Like the Israelites, many today would have felt comfortable and do nothing, going about with a false impression that they still had seeds to sow in their hands. However, trouble came when the harvest showed up and didn’t leave them until they ended up in poverty. The moment you notice trouble in any form, stand firm, and rebuke it in prayers so it does not multiply.
Glory to Jesus for the victory we have over all forms and manners of trouble. Jesus himself said, "In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33 NIV). This assurance reminds us that while we may face challenges, we are not defeated by them. It means having the wisdom to navigate difficulties with grace, the strength to stand firm in faith, and the peace that surpasses understanding. May you walk in the victory that is already yours, knowing that no trouble is too great for our God. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and let Him lead you to triumph in every circumstance.
