Having dealt with igniting greatness and our desire for it, it is equally important to understand what barriers lie on the way to greatness and how to overcome them.
For the married, the reason you married your spouse was because you pursued them. One cannot desire something, and not pursue it, that is just daydreaming. Desire is active, it is supposed to set you in motion. When Naomi told Ruth to show herself to Boaz, truly, he had no rest from that day onwards until he married her. This is the word for somebody today - show up! Let whoever oversees your life-changing decision not rest until you are helped.
What have you done lately to take charge of your path to greatness? Where is the blueprint? Where is your business plan? What research have you done concerning the ideas God has given you? Receive the power to move forward with your pursuit to greatness in Jesus' name.
Overcome through action! Having a dream is not enough if no action comes from it. The Lord will at times impress words or thoughts on our hearts with the expectation that we will pursue them.
Timothy, my child, I entrust to you this command, which is in accordance with the words of prophecy spoken in the past about you. Use those words as weapons in order to fight well, 1 Timothy 1:18 GNT
The scripture is clear on what God expects concerning the word that has been spoken to and about us – we are to pursue it! Just as a soldier wields his sword on the battlefield, use those dreams, thoughts, ideas as a compass to navigate the way to greatness.
Receive the grace to know what to do for your greatness to manifest!
All that has ever been, started off as a dream, a thought or an idea. The question that remains is what are you doing with yours? Many are currently sleeping on a goldmine. They have received inspiration from the Lord through a vison, a thought or a dream that would have announced them to a new destiny. But rather than run with it, they are burying it due to fear. The devil brings those projections of fear into your mind by whispering ‘what if I fail?’ Have you ever stopped to wonder ‘what if you succeed?’ Remember the words in Matthew 25:29 For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
Overcome through discernment. Having a dream is wonderful, but who you share it with is just as important! Some have shared their dream of greatness with the wrong people, and it ended in trouble. In Genesis 37:8, The Bible records of Joesph “His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.
Looking at Joseph, his dreams set him apart from his brothers and they hated him for it. Many will hate you for your dreams, they will discourage you from achieving your goal, their default responses will be ‘it cannot be done’, ‘it is not possible’, ‘don’t waste your time’. As a believer, you should be wise with the company you keep and the counsel you seek. That way you are not derailed in your path by those who choose to remain small.
Overcoming through positioning. After Joseph interpreted a dream for the chief butler in prison, his condition did not change for another 2 years because the butler forgot about him. (Genesis 41:23). Even though the butler forgot about Joseph, he remembered him when it mattered most—before Pharaoh. Joseph was able to interpret Pharaoh’s dream, and on that very day, he was promoted to a title second only to Pharaoh.
If you had been wrongly positioned before now, as the Lord lives, you are strategically positioned before those that matter in the realization of your greatness in Jesus' name. Receive the grace to know what to do for your greatness to manifest!
