Propelling the Force of Faith

“Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”

- Acts 3:6 (NKJV)

Faith is not static, rather it is a dynamic and powerful force that can achieve supernatural results. In Acts 3, Peter exemplifies this truth. A man begging for money at the temple gate received far more than he expected. He received complete healing. This account teaches us two vital principles about the force of faith:

Faith Exceeds Expectations

Faith goes beyond merely meeting our needs; it surpasses them. The man was asking for money, but faith delivered healing, restoration, and the ability to walk.

Faith Is Activated Through the Name of Jesus

In Acts 3:6 (NKJV), Peter declared, “What I do have I give you.” What he possessed was the authority of the name of Jesus, which he used to release healing. As believers, we have been entrusted with the name of Jesus as a spiritual possession. Jesus Himself affirmed, “In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues…” Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV). The name of Jesus carries divine authority and power.

Peter clarified to the crowd in Acts 3:12 (NKJV), “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?” This underscores a critical truth: the true power lies in Jesus, not in human ability. We must remain humble and reliant on God, giving Him all the glory for any breakthrough or miracle.

The force of faith is not passive; it is activated when we boldly speak and act in the name of Jesus.

Faith requires action. Peter didn’t hesitate to speak to the lame man or command him to rise. He acted on the authority of Jesus’ name. Faith is propelled when we boldly declare and act upon God’s promises. Speak God’s Word confidently in your prayers. Declare healing, provision, and breakthroughs in the name of Jesus.

The name of Jesus is extraordinary; it embodies authority, dominion, and power. When believers speak in faith using His name, they unleash the power embedded within it to accomplish the will of God.

The force of faith is not passive; it is activated when we boldly speak and act in the name of Jesus. Embrace this dynamic force and watch as it transforms your life and the lives of those around you!

Walk by faith

Song by Jeremy Camp

Prayer -  Lord Jesus, I thank You for the gift of Your name and the authority it carries. Teach me to boldly use this name in faith to release the power You’ve entrusted to me. Help me to act with confidence, knowing that You are the source of all miracles. In Your powerful name, I pray. Amen.
