" The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.’’
- Deuteronomy 29:29 (NKJV)
Today, we begin a series on The Prophetic.
One of the things that God gives His people for their advantage is the prophetic. It is the result of two factors – the Spirit of God and your cooperation with the prophet or the man of God. The prophetic interjects negative outcomes and corrects results heading in the wrong direction. It ensures an outcome is favourable when it is engaged.
The prophetic, when in operation, gives access to secrets and mysteries. Life is too critical to be lived by guessing. At some point, you must be sure of the outcomes, before taking a step, or before committing to a venture. Numerous individuals have faced setbacks due to a misstep. However, with the guidance of prophecy, you can embark on a journey even without a clear vision of your destination, yet filled with confidence
Secrets are information that give you an advantage in life. In Genesis 30:28, Laban had just told Jacob to name his wages after years of being grossly underpaid. The logical and natural response would have been to ask for what was due. It was an open cheque. What would have been your response to such a statement? Without a prophetic insight, many would have answered differently. Jacob had access to realms beyond logical reasoning and so he was able to give a response that gave him the edge over his employer, Laban.
When you operate in the natural realm, you can only have natural outcomes.
The first step to prophetic actualization is realizing that one plus one is not always two. Strange, isn’t it? Even as you read that, the natural senses might trigger a warning, a caution of error, the mind already trying to logically doubt that statement. It is realizing that with God, all things are possible. There is always a limitation to human reasoning. Even when you can naturally figure it out, and seemingly have all the answers, still engage the supernatural. When you engage the prophetic, the Spirit of God superimposes your natural senses and gives you direct access to what God has in mind concerning that matter.
As you take that step, and make that decision, be sure you are operating in the prophetic. When you operate in the natural realm, you can only have natural outcomes. Spend some time in prayers, meditation and study of the Word and receive wisdom to achieve supernatural results in your life, family, and workplace.
