Recognizing God’s Hand in Your Journey

April 03, 2025

“For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;

I will triumph in the works of Your hands.”

- Psalm 92:4 (NKJV)

Our God is the Most High, not only because of His greatness in creation but because of the personal works He has done in our lives. While the heavens declare His glory and the earth displays His power, what truly moves us to gratitude is what He has done for us.

The psalmist declares in Psalm 92:4: "You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me! I sing for joy because of what You have done." The majesty of the universe is awe-inspiring, yet nothing compares to the joy of seeing God’s hand at work in our own lives.

God created the sun, moon, and stars, but even more profoundly, He created you in His own image. You are not an accident or a mistake. Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us:

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well."

You are designed with intention, beauty, and purpose. There is no flaw in God’s creation, and you are a testimony of His wisdom.

Thanksgiving should be our daily habit.

Beyond creation, the greatest work God has done is redeeming us through Jesus Christ. Psalm 103:2-4 instructs us: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies."

Jesus paid the ultimate price to save us. His death and resurrection are proof of God’s unfailing love and His commitment to our eternal joy.

Reflect on the times God has rescued, provided for, and protected you. Has He ever answered a prayer, given you strength during hard times, or opened a door that once seemed closed?

Lamentations 3:22-23 assures us: " Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." If God has kept you this far, He is not about to stop now! His faithfulness endures forever.

How do we honor the Most High? We thank Him! Thanksgiving should be our daily habit. It is the key to experiencing more of God’s joy and presence. Philippians 4:6 encourages us: " Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; " Before asking for more, take time to thank Him for what He has already done.

Gratitude changes our perspective. When we focus on what God has done, we find joy, peace, and confidence for the future. Take time today to thank Him for His works in your life!

Prayer -  Heavenly Father, I thank You for all the works You have done in my life. You created me with love, redeemed me through Jesus, and continue to sustain me every day. Help me to always have a grateful heart, to see Your goodness in every situation, and to praise You at all times. I declare that You are the Most High, and I give You all the glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
