" By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.’’
- Hebrews 11:24 (NKJV)
Imagine being at a high-stakes championship game, where the crowd's energy is electric, and every play determines the outcome. As the tension builds, one team begins to falter, prompting some fans to switch allegiances, cheering for the team they believe will win. But true loyalty shines in those who remain steadfast, regardless of the odds. In our walk with God, the stakes are even higher, and the temptation to waver can be strong when life gets tough. Yet Scripture assures us that victory belongs to those who remain on the Lord’s side. Will you stay faithful, trusting His plan, even when the game of life feels uncertain?
Let’s revisit our anchor scripture for today. Moses had access to everything one could desire. Pharaoh’s palace, as depicted in the Bible, symbolized unparalleled wealth and royal splendor. Its towering columns, adorned with intricate carvings of lotus blossoms and papyrus reeds, bore witness to Egypt's artistic mastery. Why would anyone willingly give that up for an uncertain future? Yet, Moses did! He chose to suffer affliction with the people of God rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of the king’s court.
Stay faithful to God, press on in faith, and may He reward your faithfulness.
The same is true for you as a believer. Your fellowship with God is a relationship worth cherishing for a lifetime. When Adam and Eve disobeyed, they lost more than the serenity of the Garden of Eden – they lost the profound presence and fellowship of God. There is nothing that compares to standing united with Him. No matter what challenges you face, remain with God, even in times of affliction. Like Moses, who had everything anyone could dream of, he chose to align himself with the Lord’s side.
When trials and tribulations seem overwhelming, stay connected to God, regardless of the outcome. When the fleeting pleasures of sin attempt to lure you, resist the pressure and remind the enemy that there is a greater, eternal joy in Christ, as expressed in Psalm 16:11, which says, ‘You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.'
Today, as you resolve to press on in faith, regardless of the circumstances, may the Lord grant you strength and richly reward your faithfulness in Jesus' name.

Who is on the Lord's side?
I am on the Lord's side
Are you on the Lord's side?
I am on the Lord's side
As we raise a shout
The enemies will bow
