Speak Up!

February 22, 2025

"But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed.’’

- Luke 23:23 (NKJV)

In legislative assemblies, passing a motion often hinges on vocal expressions of agreement or disagreement, typically captured by the word "aye" or "nay." When a motion is proposed, the presiding officer calls for a vote, and members respond by indicating their stance. Those in favor declare "aye," while those opposed say "nay." The presiding officer assesses the volume and strength of each response to discern the majority. This principle applies to navigating life’s challenges as well. How can you remain silent when matters directly affecting your life are at stake? Today, I urge you to speak up!

The irony in legislative assemblies is that oppressive laws can be enacted simply because those with good intentions remain silent. Similarly, your mind resembles a bustling arena where positive and negative thoughts collide. Your inclination to embrace good thoughts is directly tied to the strength of your voice in proclaiming the Word of God over your thoughts. Remember, every action is preceded by a thought. Once a thought enters your mind, voice your desires using Scripture. When doubt whispers that you will fail, don’t ignore it—declare, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 NKJV).

Let your voice be heard. Stand firm in faith and declare the promises of God over your life!

Never allow the voices of the enemy to prevail—speak up and affirm your faith!

It is often said that silence implies consent. When thoughts of depression arise and we remain silent, they accumulate, gradually becoming a harsh reality. What begins as an unchallenged thought can evolve into a formidable presence in our minds. Speaking up is not a one-time event; as long as you inhabit this world, negative thoughts will persist, and temptations will arise. We must consistently proclaim the Word of God over every challenge we face.

In Luke 4:1-13, the devil tempted Jesus not just once, but three times. Each time, Jesus responded with Scripture. The enemy seeks to weary believers with negativity, but it is our duty to counterattack with the truth of God’s Word until those negative whispers fade into silence.

Today, let your voice be heard. Stand firm in faith and declare the promises of God over your life!

And I will not be silent

I will always worship You

As long as I am breathing

I will always worship You

Song My Worship by Phil Thompson

Prayer -  I speak over every thought that want to rise against the plan of God for my life and I bring them under subjection to the word of God, and His plans for my life. I am what God says I am- victorious, more than conqueror, prosperous, successful, healthy, fruitful and alive in Christ.
