The Emerging Sons of God - II

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

 - Romans 8: 14-17 (NKJV)

In the natural world, children have limited roles—they cry, eat, and grow, but they aren’t involved in the responsibilities of the family. Similarly, in the spiritual realm, we need mature sons of God to handle kingdom matters. Every child of God has the potential to become a son, but this requires understanding and commitment to the growth process.

The Creation and Re-Creation

Looking at Genesis 1:1-2, we see that God created the earth perfectly, but it became formless and void due to a destructive event. This tragedy points to a deeper spiritual cause linked to Lucifer's rebellion, which brought darkness upon the earth. Yet, God did not despair; He began a re-creation process. He moved His Spirit over the chaos and initiated a renewal, demonstrating His determination not to abandon His original purpose.

Every child of God has the potential to become a son, but this requires understanding and commitment to the growth process.

As God was recreating, He knew that the same forces of destruction could not be allowed to prevail again. Thus, He conceived a new plan, calling a divine council and deciding to create man in His image—beings capable of existing in both the physical and spiritual realms. This concept wasn’t new, but its execution was groundbreaking. God designed man to act as a bridge between heaven and earth, possessing authority and presence in both realms.

The Essence of Sonship

The essence of sonship is being led by the Spirit of God, as stated in Romans 8:14. When the Holy Spirit fills a person, they can fulfill their role as a son of God. The Holy Spirit grants utterance, guiding sons of God to speak divine truth and act in power, as demonstrated in Acts 2:4. This utterance brings healing and transformation, restoring lives through simple, spirit-led commands.

Our Calling to Bring Order

God is waiting for sons—those who can tap into the Holy Spirit's power and bring order to chaos. The potential to be a son resides within every child of God, but it requires activation through faith and the Holy Spirit. When believers yield to the Spirit, they manifest the authority of the sons of God, bringing healing, restoration, and justice to the world. This power is within every believer, waiting to be released through faith and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Let us embrace our calling as mature sons of God, ready to bring His order to a chaotic   through the Spirit’s guidance.

Prayer - Dear Lord, thank you for providing me with the tools to walk in power and become an agent of change. Father, I ask that I never forget my role as a son of God when times are difficult.
