The Mentality of Increase

“And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before you.I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land.”

 - Exodus 23: 28-30 (NKJV)

The prophetic word of God over our lives is tied to growth. We need to increase and grow to obtain all that God has destined for us. There is a mindset that lays the fertile ground for increase. The Bible says in Proverbs that “as a man thinketh, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). There is a programming of our mind as children of God that wherever we go, we must dominate. To tap into that mindset, there are certain aspects of our mentality that we must change.

We must first understand that our increase is unstoppable regardless of attacks and afflictions (Exodus 1: 11-12). Our present situation may not represent where we are going but we must continue to grow. We must make something out of nothing and push through the attacks of the enemy. Remember that the enemy is intimidated by growth and stature.

Second, we must have an unquenchable appetite for increase. This is not greed. It is not wrong to strive for the next level. Settling in a particular position when God has called us to greatness is not contentment either but laziness. Contentment is being happy with where we are on the way to where we are going.

The prophetic word of God over our lives is tied to growth.

Lastly, we must have a forward-thinking mindset. Instead of looking back at previous wins, be assured that you can be more successful in your present location. There is a level of increase that we can achieve that will ridicule our previous wins and struggles.

Today, we are encouraged to approach life knowing that we are not limited by our present condition. We are children of God blessed in the city and in the country. Put in the work and watch God prepare a table in the presence of all that was sent to break us.

Song of Worship

We are grateful Oh Lord - 2x

For all You have done for us - 1x

We are grateful Oh Lord- 1x

Prayer - Dear Lord, thank you for the opportunity to approach your throne to obtain mercy. Father, I ask that you walk ahead of me in all that I do Lord. I do not want to be successful only in the past. Please open my eyes to opportunities that will yield an increase in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.
