"And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction." - Mark 5:34 (NKJV)
If we held on to Faith’s particulars as an enforcement officer and were looking up Faith’s details in the system, another piece of information we would find is that faith is multi-dimensional.
In the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-32, the woman came through the crowd believing that by touching Jesus’ clothes, she would be made well (verse 28). Jairus, the synagogue ruler in the preceding verses; 22 to 24 of Mark 5 also believed that by laying His hands on his little daughter, Jesus would heal her, and she would live. Jairus’ request of Jesus would change later following the news of his daughter’s passing in verse 35.
For the woman and Jairus, the nature of their predicaments reflected their type of faith.
In the woman’s case, her faith was medicinal. She had suffered countless ordeals at the hands of physicians, gotten worse (verse 26) and was probably at her wits end before she met Jesus. For Jairus, his faith was healing at first but became resurrectional afterwards.
Faith is obedient, granting inheritance of God’s promises.
The hall of faith in Hebrews 11 lists examples of the types of faith the greats put up when they faced various situations and predicaments.
Starting in verse 3 of Hebrews 11, we find that Faith is creative, forming the world from God’s word! Faith is sacrificial, giving testimonies of righteousness (v4). Faith excludes one from seeing death (v5), makes it possible to please God and rewards for diligently seeking Him (v6). Faith is forewarning, able to save households from disaster and make heirs of righteousness (v7).
Faith is obedient, granting inheritance of God’s promises (v8). Faith is conceptive and reproductive (v11) well beyond the limits of medical science and logical reasoning. Faith becomes provision when there seems to be nothing (v17-18). Faith identifies purpose, shields and secures it, guiding it till fruition (v23-27).
Faith provides breakthroughs in the direst of situations. It opens doors where there are none and provides the courage to go through those doors (v29). Faith breaks down barriers, destroys strongholds (v30) and preserves life (v31). Faith subdues kingdoms, works righteousness, receives promises, stops attacks from adversaries, ends raging fires of violence, guarantees safety, strengthens, turns back opposition and restores dead things to life (v32-35).
In whatever situation we may find ourselves, whatever answers we look to God for in faith, that faith, our faith, takes the form of our prayers. It then becomes the answer to our prayers. Like the woman with the issue of blood, faith interprets our requests through the power of God and provokes a response that caters to our petition. Like Jairus, faith is also able to transform and resolve changing situations, compensating with an even greater response for missed opportunities, lost time or wasted resources.

Walk by Faith
Song by Jeremy Camp
Prayer - Dear Lord, thank You because faith in You guarantees answers to any kind of situation or predicament, I find myself in. Thank you Lord that faith in You is also capable of adapting to any changes in my life, continually meeting me at the point of my needs in Jesus’ name. Amen.
