Dear New Covenant Assembly (NCA) Family,

 

Based on Govt. of Alberta’s Phase I re-launch strategy allowing places of worship to reopen from June 1, 2020, we are pleased to inform you that NCA will resume in-persons worship services from Sunday, June 7, 2020. NCA will adopt the following re-launch strategies consistent with AHS re-launch guidelines for places of worship.
 

•    General Conditions:
           o   50 people or less are allowed in the church building per worship service.

          o   Congregational singing is not presently allowed in worship services.
          o   Children & Youth services will continue online. 60+ year olds will stay home & watch online.
          o   Please check: www.newcovenantassembly.ca for information on multiple in-persons services being                   offered, online bookings, survey & more details on the four key strategies stated below.
 

•    Distancing Measures:

           o    Physical distancing of 2 meters during services will be adhered to.
          o    Appropriate sign & labels supporting physical distancing will be installed.
          o    Online registration forms for service attendance since space is limited to only 50 per service.

•    Cleaning Measures:

           o    Hand sanitizing stations will be available at entry, exits and other stations in the church.
          o    Frequent disinfecting/sanitizing of high touch areas (e.g. pulpit, bathrooms, chairs, POS machines,                    door knobs etc.). Facility will also be cleaned in between services.
          o    Frequent hand washing by all with soap and water is highly encouraged.

•    Screening for Symptoms:

           o    Completion of online self-assessment to screen for symptoms required prior coming to church.
          o    Anyone not feeling well is requested to attend online services and not come to church.
          o    There will be temperature checks at the point of entry into the church. Anyone with temperature                        above normal will not be allowed into the church.

•    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
           o    Congregants are encouraged to bring their own masks to church even though physical distancing                      measures are being implemented.
          o    Disposable masks & gloves to be provided by the church as needed.
          o    Members are encouraged to download Alberta’s COVID-19 tracing app.

We will continue to monitor & implement any new recommendations set by the province, and keep you updated.
