Eyes on the Promise: Embracing God's Plan for Your Future

But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”  And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.

Over the years, you may have heard that God has a plan for you, and that truth remains unwavering. Though circumstances, situations, and locations may change, God's Word remains steadfast. Everything will ultimately align to fulfill God's plan and promises for you, for the God of the plan remains unchanged. Therefore, you can trust in Him to bring His plan to fruition.

Malachi 3:6 (NKJV) reassures us, "For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore, you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob," and Psalm 102:27 (NKJV) declares, "But You are the same, And Your years will have no end." God's unchanging nature guarantees His faithfulness in fulfilling His plan.

So, what is this plan that God has for you? Genesis 12:2-3 (NKJV) reveals, "I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." This divine promise extends not only to Abraham but also to you as a spiritual heir of Abraham through Christ (Galatians 3:29, NLT).

God's plan is to make you great, and there's no dispute about it. What you've witnessed today is just a glimpse of what God is about to accomplish in your life. As 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) declares, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." Greater things are on the horizon. Get ready!

Now, consider how far you can see. God is ready to lead you to your promised land, but are you limiting yourself based on your current perspective? Genesis 13:14 (NLT) urges, "Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east, and west." Your present circumstances shouldn't hinder you from envisioning a brighter future. It costs nothing to envision yourself in that high-ranking position, owning a multinational business, or witnessing the impossible become possible. Remember, you cannot feature in a future you cannot see; envision greatness, and you will reach it.

God's plan is to make you great, and there's no dispute about it. What you've witnessed today is just a glimpse of what God is about to accomplish in your life.

Genesis 13:17 (NKJV) follows up with an imperative: "Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you." Having glimpsed your greatness, it's now time to take action. Take bold steps, pursue knowledge, initiate endeavors, and start your journey towards greatness in every facet of life—career, health, relationships, ministry, finances, and your walk with God.

Keeping your focus on Jesus, like Peter did in Matthew 14:29-30, will guide you to your destination. Peter walked on water when he fixed his gaze on Jesus but began to sink when he shifted his attention. Similarly, by unwaveringly holding onto God's promises and keeping your eyes fixed on them, you'll experience the tangible fulfillment of God's plan for your life.

Prayer – Heavenly Father, I am grateful for your unchanging plan and promises in my life. Please help me to see the greatness you have in store for me and give me the courage to rise up and walk boldly in every aspect of my journey. Keep my eyes fixed on you, Lord, so that I can reach the destination you have prepared for me. Lord, today I see myself as (…………………....) and I arise in every area of my life. In Jesus Name.
