" When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?"

 - Psalm 8:3-4 (NKJV)

A healthy, faith-filled life is built on three essential truths: we are loved and cared for by God, we are valued by God, and most importantly, we are empowered by God. These truths provide us with security, confidence, and purpose. When we live as God intended, understanding who we are in Christ and whose we are, our lives are transformed, and we can fulfill the destiny He has planned for us.

Our foundation as children of God is that He is mindful of us (Psalm 8:3-4). God is not distant; He is deeply invested in every aspect of our lives. The Bible tells us in John 3:16 that God loved us so much that He gave His only Son for us when there was nothing else to offer. The Amplified version emphasizes that He greatly loved and dearly prized us. Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, formed and knit together by God even in our mother's wombs. Ephesians 2:10 declares that we are His handiwork, created to do good works He prepared for us. Remember, you are special and permanently in God’s vision (Psalm 17:8).

God has called us to walk in the victory He has given us, not to be overwhelmed by our circumstances.

Our identity is rooted in the truth that God has crowned us with glory and honor. As stated in 1 Timothy 4:12, "Don't let anyone look down on you," for you are made in the very image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Among all of creation, we hold a special status. Isaiah 43:7 (CEV) reminds us that God declares, "They are my people—I created each of them to bring honor to me." We must daily reinforce our God-given dignity and purpose in how we interact with others and view ourselves. This truth should shift our perspectives.

Our purpose is to have dominion because God has given us authority (Psalm 8:6-7). He created us to have dominion over the works of His hands, placing all things under our feet (Psalm 8:5-6). When God created us, He did not leave us without a divine mandate. As Christians, our mandate is to rule, lead, and influence the environments we inhabit. God has called us to walk in the victory He has given us, not to be overwhelmed by our circumstances. Romans 8:37 affirms that "in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us." The love God has for us empowers us to subdue and have dominion; we are meant to walk in authority and conquer our circumstances, not the other way around.

Today, choose to stand in faith, knowing that you are not ordinary. You have been intentionally positioned above and not beneath, seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), with everything under your feet. On your marks, get set, go—walk in this truth today. He has given you the authority to do so because you matter to Him!

Prayer -  Thank You God for being mindful of me and for your continued blessing on my life. I receive capacity to maximize every gift and talent that you have blessed me with and entrusted me with. Help me to trust You with every detail of my life in Jesus' name. So, it is, and it shall be in Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen
