That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish."

The church is a gathering for God and not for us as a social gathering. Likewise the church is not a building, but a body - a body of believers!
Christ is looking to present us as a church without blemish. The Bible says I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The church that is acceptable to Christ is His own possession.
The Lord is looking for a church that will come into the fullness of the Glory of God. Anything short of the fullness of the Glory of God is unacceptable to God as seen in Romans 12:1 where the bible teaches us that we must present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service.
The days of doing church as we like are over, we must do church as is acceptable to God as He will show up. We must understand that the purpose of the church is to glorify Jesus as seen in 1 Peter 2:9.
The purpose of restoration is Glory. The word glorious means to be full of God. In the scriptures, God transferred his glory to the disciples, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and were able to communicate through diverse tongues. Our goal as Christians, should consistently be to build a church in a way that is pleasing to God.
When we speak about restoration, we are referring to the fullness of God. When a church is fully clothed in glory, there is a resemblance with God and the willingness to engage in kingdom takeover. The Glory of God is also the goodness of God and we are called as Christians to show forth His Goodness as instructed in 1 Peter 2:9 because He called us out of darkness for this purpose. It is time for us as Christians to arise and shine for the Glory of God is risen upon us.
When we talk about the manifestation of God’s Glory, we are referring to divine acts where natural laws are suspended, and we become a miraculous people - Acts 10:38. If we are associated with God, The character of God must rub off on us, therefore we must not build church as monuments but that which reflects the Glory of God.

Prayer - Dear Lord, give us the courage and grace to do church in a way that reflects Your glory therefore bringing about restoration of mankind to You, In Jesus’ name. Amen.
